Posted September 09, 2018 11:30:53Apple’s $6.5 billion acquisition of online retail giant Cali (Cali) in 2018 was a “fairytale” for the retail giant, according to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.
Amazon’s acquisition of the California-based company, which makes online retail apps and services for businesses, also included the popular App Store, which Bezos said he hoped would create an “unbelievable amount of wealth”.
In an interview with Bloomberg News published on Thursday, Bezos said the deal was “just another step” toward creating a “gigantic, untapped global market”.
“We’re going to be the world’s largest retailer,” he said.
